Bloom Where You're Planted

A group exhibition celebrating the graduates of our three-month mentorship program, shown alongside their mentor and the gallery's very first artist-in-residence.

Bloom Where You're Planted brought together a new generation of emerging artists for their first public exhibition, marking the close of a three-month development program hosted at the gallery. The show also featured new work from the program's mentor and Charlestown Gallery's first artist-in-residence.

The exhibition was presented in partnership with Island Girls Rock, a non-profit initiative celebrating women of Caribbean heritage and fostering cultural connections and collaborative opportunities between women of the Caribbean and its diaspora. The Charlestown Gallery is Nevis's only gallery dedicated to exhibiting and selling the work of new artists, and this mentorship exhibition reflects that mission directly.

Sharing the Work

Each artist in the program shared insights into their own journey, offering visitors a closer look at both the mentorship program and the exhibition itself. It was the first time many of the mentees had shown work publicly.
